Problem:
The sound is distorted, skipping, or seems to have a slight echo.

Solution:
Download and install the "Audio Distortion Patch" for Windows™

Download via http:

Download via FTP:
ftp://ftp.llsys.com/pub/win/sterling/directsound-override.EXE

How to Use:
Download and run the patch "directsound-override.EXE" from one of the above links.

The program may begin to install before it is downloaded and this could produce a warning screen (see below) that says "Authenticode signature not found". You can ignore the warning by clicking the "Yes" button.

If the patch is sucessful, the alert will indicate completion:

If the patch cannot locate the Sterling Edition program on your system, it will indicate this. Make certain that you have installed the Sterling Edition program prior to running this patch.
